Process Engineer

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer at the Greenville, Illinois facility. The Process Engineer has the responsibility to develop, analyze, and implement new or modified process technology, products, equipment and systems for all Plant 7 manufacturing processes in the assigned value stream.Provide leadership, project assignment, and goal setting for the process technicians with follow up on their performance.Direct supervision of the material test operators.Provide support to production personnel and maintenance to effectively improve quality and productivity while reducing operating costs.Implements process improvements and controls to reduce defects, scrap and rework while supporting Lean Manufacturing.Development work is coordinated with all necessary departments and is performed per acceptable and customary rubber manufacturing practices utilizing quality improvement techniques and experimental designs.Interact with both external and internal auditors and ensure corrective actions are completed in a timely manner.Essential Duties:

70% plant - working on projects, observing process, troubleshooting. 30% office - writing reports, computer calculations, data analysis.INDOPEducational Requirements:
Education -BS in Engineering or Science degree with math through algebra and geometry, chemistry and physics.Coursework in Statistical Process Control and Rubber Technology. Equivalency - Four-year degree with 5 years rubber/plastic processing experience in a technical support role.Experience Requirements:
Experience -Five years of rubber processing experience in a technical support role desired but not required. Equivalency - NonePhysical Requirements:
Walking - across plant to observe manufacturing process and on catwalks to observe equipment function Climbing - stairs and ladders to access equipment and roofs. Stooping - equipment observation. Kneeling - production observation. Standing - Occasionally for extended periods to observe process. Lifting - 50 lbs. or more. Sitting - Office work, reports, computer. Sensory - smell, hear, touch, and see process and product to effectively define process variability and operation.
